Residents of AP Road and its surrounding axis in Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area, have heaved a sigh of relief as Hon. Barr. Ajede Possible, Executive Chairman of Ukwuani LGA, on Thursday delivered a brand new 500/33KVA distribution transformer to the community.
The installation of the transformer marks the end of prolonged power outages that have plagued the area, bringing renewed hope to households and businesses.
Speaking during the handover, Hon. Possible described the project as part of his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people.
“This transformer is a promise fulfilled. I am committed to ensuring that our people enjoy the dividends of democracy, and today, the AP Road axis can say goodbye to darkness,” the Chairman stated.
Jubilant residents trooped out in large numbers to receive the transformer, expressing gratitude to the council boss for coming to their aid. They described the project as a timely intervention that will boost economic and social life in the community.
The new distribution transformer is expected to stabilize electricity supply in the AP Road area and its environs, enhancing productivity and quality of life.
