The Secretary General of Ndokwa Voice in Diaspora, Mr. Lucky Oliogu, has called on the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, to urgently facilitate the completion of the Independent Power Plant (IPP) Phase Two project in Ndokwa Nation.

In a formal letter addressed to the governor, Oliogu appealed for swift government intervention to ensure the realization of the project, which he described as critical to the economic transformation of the region.

He noted that Ndokwa Nation has remained a major contributor to the economic strength of Delta State and Nigeria, largely due to its abundant natural resources. Despite this, he lamented that the area continues to suffer from inadequate infrastructure, particularly unstable power supply, which has hindered development.

Oliogu reaffirmed the support of the Ndokwa people for Governor Oborevwori’s administration and his MORE Agenda, stating that the overwhelming support given during the elections was a demonstration of trust in his leadership and commitment to equitable development.

“The completion of the IPP Phase Two project will not only improve electricity supply but will also stimulate economic activities, create jobs, and boost the standard of living of our people,” he stated.

He further urged the governor to use his office to facilitate the release of funds required for the completion of the project, stressing that the benefits would extend beyond Ndokwa Nation to other parts of the state.

According to him, the project, when completed, will serve as a catalyst for industrial growth, attract investment, and enhance overall productivity within the region.

Stakeholders in Ndokwa have continued to call for increased attention to key infrastructural projects, particularly in the areas of power, road development, education, and economic empowerment.

Oliogu expressed optimism that Governor Oborevwori would respond positively to the appeal and take decisive steps toward ensuring the timely completion of the IPP Phase Two project.
