The Founder and Spiritual Director of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Evangelist Ebuka Obi, on Friday, commissioned a newly completed humanitarian centre in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, amidst pomp and celebration.
The facility, named the Seraphic Psychiatric Hospital and Old People’s Home, was established by the non-denominational Zion Prayer Movement Outreach as part of its mission to provide free healthcare and welfare services, particularly for mentally challenged persons and the elderly.
The commissioning ceremony drew a mammoth crowd of Zionites, top government officials, and dignitaries who gathered to witness the landmark humanitarian gesture.
Prior to the event, Evangelist Obi arrived in Anambra through the Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, aboard an Air Peace Airlines flight. He was accompanied by former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, whose presence further heightened the significance of the occasion.
The new centre is expected to play a critical role in addressing mental health challenges and providing care for the aged, reinforcing Zion Prayer Movement’s commitment to social and humanitarian development beyond religious activities.
