Delta Speaker Guwor Joins Thanksgiving Service as State Marks 34th Anniversary

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, on Thursday joined members of the State Executive Council, top government functionaries, royal fathers, and eminent Deltans at the Government House Chapel, Asaba, for a thanksgiving service to mark the 34th anniversary of the state’s creation.

Speaking at the event, Rt. Hon. Guwor described the celebration as a moment of deep reflection on God’s blessings and the remarkable progress Delta has made since its creation in 1991.

“Indeed, God has been faithful, and we return all glory to Him. I am confident that the years ahead will be even better and brighter for us as a State,” the Speaker said.

Prayers were also offered for peace, unity, and sustained development in Delta State, with leaders present urging citizens to remain committed to supporting the government’s vision for growth and prosperity.

The thanksgiving highlighted Delta’s achievements over the past 34 years while rekindling hope for greater progress in the future.
