The All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State chapter, has announced that its State Congress will hold on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Asaba, the state capital.

According to a press statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., the congress is scheduled to commence at 10 a.m. at the Cenotaph located along High Court Road, Asaba.

The statement noted that the exercise is being convened in line with the party’s constitution and the guidelines for the conduct of nationwide congresses as approved by the National Working Committee (NWC).

The State Working Committee of the APC in Delta State, under the chairmanship of Elder Omeni Sobotie, is inviting statutory delegates, critical stakeholders, and party leaders from across the state to participate in the congress.

Among those listed as special invitees and delegates are the Governor and Deputy Governor, members of the National Advisory Council from Delta State, the State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee, as well as serving and past members of the National Assembly.

Also expected at the congress are members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), serving and former members of the Delta State House of Assembly, elected local government council chairmen and their deputies, and all elected councillors across the state.

Furthermore, party chairmen, secretaries, and members of the Local Government Area Executive Committees are to attend, alongside five delegates per ward, including two women members of the Zonal Executive Committee. Ward executives comprising the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Woman Leader, Youth Leader, and Special Leader from the 270 wards in the state are also expected to be present.

The statement added that all leaders invited to the Stakeholders’ Meeting held on January 23, 2026, are equally required to attend the congress.

Reiterating its commitment to its “Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E Agenda,” the APC urged party faithful across Delta State to turn out in large numbers for the State Congress, describing it as a crucial step in strengthening the party’s structure and unity ahead of future political engagements.
